On Campus

Rowan University, Glassboro, announced the following local students who received degrees at the spring commencement exercises:

Regina M. Oliveri, Red Bank, a degree in education and writing arts;

David A. Candrea, Fair Haven, a degree in political science;

Stephanie M. Zaidinski, Tinton Falls, a degree cum laude in art and education; and

Christine H. Marks, a degree in business administration; and

John J. Vaccarelli, a degree summa cum laude in history, both of Oceanport.

Heather Cellary, Shrewsbury, was honored with lifetime membership in the Society of Jacob Albright Scholars at the awards and honors ceremony at Albright College, Reading, Pa. Membership is bestowed on students who have completed half their course work at the college, and possess a GPA of 3.7 or higher.

Cellary also received the Dean's Academic Achievement Award given to juniors and seniors who have shown outstanding academic accomplishment; Who's Who Award for students recognized by "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities"; college honors for completing three honors courses, and an honors project; and departmental distinction for achieving a 3.5 or higher GPA in the field of concentration and completed an honors project.

A graduate of Red Bank Regional High School, Little Silver, she is a senior majoring in mathematics and elementary education.
