      Borough should rebuild Peninsula House
            Here we go again, lack of insight and ability to lead is taking Sea Bright down that primrose path of failure and neglect one more time. The borough pursuing the purchase of Donovan's, as opposed to finding the remaining owners state funding for the purchase of development rights, is fiscally irresponsible.

      Treatment of circus animal inhumane
            Yes, it's that time of year when the circus rolls into town. This time, however, they've changed their name (to escape the bad press of their past) from Clyde Beatty Cole Bros. to simply Cole Bros. Circus. Why should you care? I asked myself the same question for many years until I inadvertently saw something I just never wanted to see.

      Letter rightly questions fort development plan
            Ididn't understand what Jim Fitzmaurice of Rumson was complaining about in his somewhat intemperate criticism of Dr. Jennifer Francis. She questioned the financial underpinnings (or at present, the lack thereof) of a rehab plan to lease 36 Fort Hancock buildings for 60 years to an inexperienced real estate speculator who has admitted he has never done such work before.

      Fort Hancock numbers still don't add up
            Iam writing in response to comments by Jim Fitzmaurice on my letter that appeared in the Aug. 9 issue regarding the financing of the Sandy Hook Partners' (SHP) proposed development of Fort Hancock. I stand by my numbers, and they still don't add up.
