      With the sixth anniversary of Sept. 11 upon us, it is vital that Americans remember those who lost their lives that tragic day. It is equally important, however, to remember the heroes who survived the attack on the World Trade Center, only to suffer in the following years.

Prosecutors must do more to track predators
      Attorney General Anne Milgram needs to go further with her anti-predator/ MySpace investigation. As attorney general, she supervises all 21 counties in the state. She has the authority to require all county prosecutors to do more to protect our children from predators both online and off.

Subject: Ocean & bay sewage slicks
      It is incomprehensible to me that the Bayshore area has to be concerned with improperly treated waste that is allowed to exit sewer plants as reported by the Monmouth County Health Department. Last week's rainfall caused "sludge cakes" or raw sewage, including syringes and tampons, to wash up on beaches in Middletown and Union Beach as reported by health officials.
