Little Silver concert series

The Little Silver Gazebo Concert Series has changed seasons. Formerly presented during the summer, the concert series has been moved to September and early October in the hopes of drawing a larger audience, according to series organizer Peter Roskowinski.

The concerts are presented Fridays at 7 p.m. at the Markham Place Gazebo.

The series began Sept. 7 and runs through Oct. 5.

The schedule is:

Sept. 14 - Doug Clarke's Jazz Quartet. Doug is an exciting and inventive guitarist. He studied for many years with the legendary guitarist Tal Farlow, from whom he gained keen insight into the melodic and harmonic complexities of bebop and traditional jazz. As a highly sought after sideman, he has developed into an exceptional and innovative modern guitarist.

Sept. 21 - The Chuck Lambert Band is a five-piece powerhouse blues band. While drawing upon the influences of many blues genres - such as Chicago and Texas-style blues and Kansas City jump - the band also injects an original perspective into their performances.

Sept. 28 - McCarthy\Dalton Band featuring Little Silver's own Jeff Dalton, "play the room" with a variety of bluegrass and country rock that's sure to get you moving and grooving under the starry autumn sky.

Oct. 5 - Black Eyed Bluesy is a fivepiece blues band fronted by Little Silvers' Susan Haugenes. Susan's distinct singing style brings a cool jazz approach with an unmistakable edge to the blues, giving the group a very unique sound. Think Susan Tedeschi with a dash of Sheryl Crow. The group is rounded out by Vincent Puryear, Ed Trygar, Max Carmichael and Robert Ender.
