Fort invites public to 90th anniversary
      Fort Monmouth will mark its 90th anniversary Nov. 5-8. The weeklong celebration culminates on Thursday, Nov. 8, with the 90th Anniversary Festival on Greely Field. The festival will begin with Fort Monmouth's annual Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. with the Commandant of West Point, Brig. Gen. Robert L. Caslen Jr., as guest speaker.

      The New Jersey Coast Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers will host two talks on the afternoon of Nov. 11 on some common misconceptions about cell phone towers, at the InfoAge Museum at the historic Camp Evans Site in Wall Township.

Deep Cut Orchid Society to meet Nov. 13
      Deep Cut Orchid Society will hold its next meeting Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Monmouth Reform Temple, 332 Hance Ave., Tinton Falls Guest lecturer will be Carol Allen, who will discuss orchid pests. There will also be a show table of flowering orchids grown by members, a plant raffle, door prizes and refreshments.
