Public housing at Earle will mean higher taxes
      As a resident of Tinton Falls for over 10 years, I have seen my real estate tax climb from $2,800 when I purchased my home to the current $8,000, most of which is to support school funding. The U.S. Navy is now letting 500 nonmilitary families move into its Earl Naval base, which sends its children to be educated in Tinton Falls.

Use eminent domain on N.J.'s toll roads
      Ihave the perfect plan to bring the state out of debt. We let Gov. Corzine sell the toll roads for billions of dollars. Enough money to pay off all the debt, bring the pensions up to date, reduce taxes by 25 percent overall and have enough left over to invest in Christmas tree items for our legislators.

State property tax amounts to class warfare
      In a recent conversation with a N.J. senator, one reason given as to why eliminating the property tax and replacing it with an income tax cannot be done is that it could be construed, or actually become, class warfare. The concern is that the so-called rich would be unfairly targeted to pay more taxes than their fair share for no other reason than that they are rich.
