Junior midfielder Kate Corr (Shrewsbury/ Red Bank Regional) completed a solid junior season as a member of the Washington and Lee women's soccer team this fall.

Corr played in 19 contests with eight starts in 2007. She totaled five goals, including three game-winning scores, and three assists. Over her three-year career, Corr has played in 61 career games and owns 10 goals and 10 assists.

Also, as a sophomore, Corr was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District III Second Team for posting a grade-point-averaging over 3.2 and being an important starter and/or reserve for the team.

Shore Regional Little League Baseball will be taking player registrations for the 2008 season on Sunday, Dec. 16 from noon to 2 p.m. at Monmouth Beach Borough Hall at 22 Beach Road in Monmouth Beach.

Shore Regional Little League Baseball is open to any child with at least one parent or legal guardian residing in Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Sea Bright, or West Long Branch, is in grade two or above, and will be between the ages of 7 and 16 on April 30, 2008. The league is open to boys and girls of all abilities, and players are assigned to teams based upon ability as well as age. The 2008 registration fee is $90 per player plus a refundable $50 per player volunteer incentive payment, which is returned after completion of a volunteer activity by the player's parent. First-time registrants should bring a birth certificate.

Shore Regional Little League Baseball now pays for youth baseball coach training for any parent interested in becoming a Little League Baseball coach.
