      Middletown Main Library will host the December edition of the "Last Thursday Poetry Reading and Open Mic" today at 7 p.m. Featured poets will be Adele Kenny and Deborah LaVeglia. Kenny, author of 21 books of poetry and nonfiction, is the poetry editor of "Tiferet: A Journal of Spiritual Literature.

      The Association of New Jersey Chiropractors is sponsoring "Baby It's Cold Outside" through Jan. 15. The event is a coat, hat, glove and scarf drive for individuals in need. The items will be donated to Jersey Cares, The Salvation Army, Goodwill and other local charities statewide.

A common bond runs through their lives, art
      Three accomplished Shore-area artists, brought together not only through their art but through the common bond of having their lives affected by cancer, are collaborating on "Deep Waters: Heart/Soul Triad," an exhibit of their work that will open at the Middletown Public Library Art Gallery Dec. 29.
