As with seemingly every other season, the Rumson-Fair Haven girls basketball team is expected to be one of the better teams in the state. However, early on at least, the Bulldogs have not played up to those expectations. "We're struggling in all facets of the game," said longtime head coach George Sourlis. More ... The Shore Regional wrestling teamentered the season hoping to win the Shore Conference B Central championship. Unfortunately, after their first dual meet of the season, that goal may be out of their reach. The Blue Devils dropped their seasonopener to Point Pleasant Beach, the preseason pick to win the division title. More ... Lplayer, Kristina Danella is never satisfied. Although she doesn't have to impress any college coaches this year, having signed with the University of Massachusetts back in June, the Red Bank Catholic forward remained as committed as ever to getting better. She worked all summer and the offseason on her conditioning and, of course, her game. More ... The Raritan High School wrestling team is off to a 2-0 start as it seeks its sixth consecutive Shore Conference Class A Central championship. Coach Rob Nucci's team has downed Red Bank Catholic and Monmouth Regional thus far and also finished seventh overall in the recent Richmond (Va.) Invitational Tournament. More ... |
