Frederic "Rick" Ernest Giersch III
Mr. Giersch, 55, of Pasadena, Calif., died Nov. 23, 2007, due to injuries sustained from an accident. Born in Red Bank, he resided in Rumson prior to relocating to Pasadena in 1969. He was president of Budweiser Japan, and a consultant atAnheuser-Busch for international efforts in Europe, Latin America and Asia, for seven years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he owned Feather River Beverage, Quincy, Calif., Hap Pitchers Distribution Company, Portola, Calif., and Gold Cities Beverage, Grass Valley, Calif., and held various positions at Anheuser- Busch, St. Louis, Mo., and London. He served on the board of the Grass Valley/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce from 1988-92. He enjoyed time with his family, golf, skiing and had a black belt in karate. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Giersch; a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Jason Brown; a son, Eric Giersch; two stepdaughters Alysa Papson and Samantha Myers; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Diane Carol Giersch of Rumson, and Judith and Paul Giersch Stach of Little Silver; his stepmother Carlota Busch Webster; two stepsisters; a stepbrother; two grandchildren; a niece; and two cousins. A memorial service was at Chapel on Temple Hill, Rancho Cordova, Calif. Arrangements were by Green Valley Mortuary, Folsom, Calif.
