      Each February, Amer-icans celebrate and observe matters of the heart in many ways, including with chocolate, cards, roses and St. Valentine's Day. For the American Heart Association, February is American Heart Month,a time to educate Americans about other matters of the heart.

Driver finds no fair haven
      A few months ago, returning from dinner, we were stopped on River Road in Fair Haven for exceeding the speed limit. After producing the license and registration, my wife was asked to exit the car and walk on the sidewalk (shoeless) while a flashlight was pointed inches from her face.

Cost of new town hall near original estimates
