The 15th Annual Rumson-Fair Haven Run will be held May 6 at the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Borden Stadium.

The event includes a 5-mile run, a 3K and kiddie dashes. All pre-entrants will receive a runner's bag and a T-shirt.

The Chelsea at Tinton Falls, 1 Hartford Drive, will host "Total Hearing Care," a free lecture on hearing loss and solutions that will include a free screening for all interested attendees, on Wednesday, March 7, at 10 a.m.

The lecture will be presented by Allen A. Cook III, audiologist from the New Jersey Hearing Aid Center. He will discuss hearing loss, tinnitus and hearing solutions. There will be a question-and-answer period, in addition to the free screenings.

Maintaining one's health is a key factor in leading an active, healthy and robust lifestyle over the age of 50. The community is invited to discover what every person over 50 can do to maintain, or create, a healthier lifestyle.

The program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, AIG American General, Sovereign Bank and Vonage.

In addition to information about community resources, expert speakers will discuss nutrition, exercise, regular check-ups, screenings and the roles they play in maintaining good health.

The free program will include food and door prizes and will be held at the Ranney School, Hope Road, Tinton Falls, on Thursday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m.

Each summer, close to 5,000 children, ages six to 18, enjoy two-week vacations with volunteer host families in suburban and small town communities across 13 northeastern states. The Healing Power of Prayer Ministry, Red Bank, will gather for a talk entitled "Accepting and Living in the Lord's Peace: Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. - John 14:27," on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
