Downtown Antiques hosts Cabin Fever Shopping benefit

Abby Arscott looks over vintage clothing for the Cabin Fever Shopping Weekend mini fashion show.
Red Bank - - Downtown Antiques & Collectibles will host a Cabin Fever Shopping Weekend Feb. 24 and 25 to benefit Lunch Break in Red Bank.

On Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m., fused glass artist Anthony Prima will present a demonstration of glass-making for jewelry and artwork at Downtown Antiques & Collectible, which is located at 27 Monmouth St.

"Old Meets New," Sunday, 2-4 p.m., will be a presentation on how to mix vintage clothing and accessories with your current wardrobe. Vintage clothier Judy Dux will present a mini fashion show, with the help of Abby Arscott and sisters Alexa and Gianna Tarpey as models, that will demonstrate how to mix vintage-style with contemporary wardrobes.

Downtown Antiques & Collectibles is a marketplace of new and vintage fine and costume jewelry, antiques, mid-century and reproduction furniture, vintage clothing, fine china and glassware. Artisans Annex offers original artwork, pottery, painted furniture and unusual one-of-a-kind pieces from Monmouth County artisans.

According to Carolyn Robertshaw, a partner in Artisans Annex, dealers at the antiques and collectibles gallery will donate a portion of their sale proceeds to Lunch Break to help continue the outreach to the area's needy during the post-holiday season.
