Chefs raise funds to help fight hunger

The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties' annual Culinary Classic will be held Monday, May 7, at The Mill at Spring Lake Heights. This year's event will showcase the talented chefs who donate their time and talent each year to present an evening of superb food, fine wine and entertainment to raise funds for the FoodBank.

Guests will sample signature dishes from 35 of the area's finest restaurants and also selections from six premier vineyards and one brewery.

Because of the outpouring of support surrounding this event, the FoodBank is able to continue to distribute over 3.4 million pounds of food a year to 270 charities in two counties.

The culinary event will include a raffle and silent auction. Only 800 tickets are sold for this event at a cost of $85 per person. Tickets can be purchased by calling The FoodBank at (732) 918-2600.
