'Schoolhouse Rock!' rocks Ranney School

Francesca Toto, Shawna Singh, Johnathan Goldstein and Ricky Geisler.
Family members and friends of The Ranney Lower School chorus members came in droves to see a lively and colorful adaptation of "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Junior" April 20 at the Tinton Falls campus.

Audience members watched with delight as educational lessons came to life with catchy songs and captivating characters in a fun and energetic musical. Members of the Lower School Chorus in grades three to five spent three months preparing for the performance, practicing their songs and dances and designing the set.

The audience sang along as the students performed the all-time favorite "Conjunction Junction" and clapped along to such favorites as "The Great American Melting Pot" and "Unpack Your Adjectives." The show ended on a high note with the energetic grand finale, "Interjections." Based on ABC's Emmy-winning Saturday morning segments, the Lower School production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Junior," was directed by Lillianne Torrente, fine and performing arts teacher, and was full of color and imagination, delivering hit after hit to the delight of all who attended this exciting show.
