Boro seeks volunteers to serve

The borough of Tinton Falls is seeking residents willing to volunteer for a position on a municipal board or committee.

Councilman Brendan Tobin said it has come to his attention that there are some openings.

"We're looking for people who want to give back to their borough by volunteering," he said.

Tobin said some spots are currently open on certain boards and committees and others pop up at regular intervals.

There are many opportunities in the borough to serve including as a member of the Zoning or Planning boards; Recreation, Open Space, Historic Preservation or Technical Advisory committees; Environmental and Shade Tree Commission; and the Library Board.

Residents interested in serving on one or more of the boards should indicate areas of interest and send a resume to Karen Mount-Taylor, Tinton Falls Borough Clerk, at 556 Tinton Ave., Tinton Falls, NJ 07724 or e-mail to boroughclerk@tintonfalls.
