The road improvements are set to cost $1.86 million, while the water mains are expected to cost $1.14 million, and the various improvements are being bonded out for $400,000. The roadwork is scheduled for portions of the following roadways, including: Spring Street between Pinckney and Harding; Wallace Street between the municipal lot and Spring Street; Linden Place between the municipal parking lot and Spring Street; Catherine Street between Bridge and Shrewsbury avenues; Throckmorton Avenue between River Road and East Front Street; McLaren Street; and for the entire lengths of Bassett Place, Mount Street, Morford Place, Waverly Place, Park Street, Oldfield Place, Berry Street and Fisher Place.

The work to be done includes fixing sidewalks, curbs, driveway aprons and regrading, landscaping, excavation, pavement striping and installation of traffic calming devices.

There will be a public hearing on these bond ordinances at the next Borough Council meeting, May 29, at 7 p.m.

Copies of ordinances are available from the borough clerk's office. Meetings are held in the court chambers of borough hall, 90 Monmouth St.
