Audubon bird walk at Sandy Hook July 12

The Monmouth County Audubon Society will lead an evening bird walk July 12 at 6 p.m. beginning at the visitors center at Sandy Hook (rain or shine).

Attendees will be led by Audubon members to look for nesters and shore birds. Birds that may be seen include osprey, least and common terns, herons and egrets. The free trip is open to both members and nonmembers. Participants should bring binoculars and field guides and dress appropriately for the weather. Insect repellent is recommended. Pets are not permitted.
