Music, movies & more in Red Bank Summer Series

Red Bank - This summer, live music, movies and entertainment will draw more than 75,000 residents and visitors to the borough's open-air concert venue that overlooks the Navesink River.

The 2007 Red Bank Summer Series will be presented at Riverside Gardens Park on West Front Street.

The series organized by Red Bank Parks and Recreation includes nine Thursday evenings of Jazz in the Park.

Four Friday evenings of 90.5 The Night's Songwriters in the Park start July 6, and six evenings of family-friendly Movies in the Park get going July 10.

Jazz in the Park will present Chuck Lambert Band and Terraplane Blues July 5; Holly Baines and Doug Clark July 12; David Tarver Band July 19; and the Tonemasters and the VooDudes July 26.

The series continues with Tom Cohen's Brazilian Jazz Aug. 2; Don Carter on Aug. 9; Tom Timko & the Horndogs Aug. 16; and the Jazz Lobsters Aug. 23.

All performances are free. Bring a chair or a blanket; dinner or a snack will be available in the park.
