Tinton Falls Open Space Committee needs help

TINTON FALLS - There are several open seats on the borough's Open Space Committee.

Borough Council President Michael Skudera said last week that about half of the committee has resigned, and the committee needs help working on important open space and recreation issues throughout the town.

One of the issues it is working on is a new walking/biking trail, he said.

Anyone interested, may contact the borough clerk at (732) 542-3400. Appointments to the committee will be made at the Aug. 7 council meeting.

At the last council meeting July 17, the council discussed appointing newly installed Councilman Duane Morrill as the council liaison to the Open Space Committee. Skudera said the appointment will be officially made at the Aug. 7 meeting.

"Duane has expressed an interest in helping out this committee since being elected to council. I know he will do a great job on the committee and the entire council is in support of his appointment," Skudera said.
