Borough police arrest suspect in sexual contact incident

RED BANK - A 46-year-old borough resident was arrested and charged with criminal sexual contact Oct. 2, according to police.

The 24-year-old Little Silver resident whom he allegedly victimized identified Raul Cruz-Flores, according to a press release from the Red Bank Police Department,.

The 24-year-old woman told police that while walking west on Monmouth Street, Cruz-Flores stepped out from an alleyway between the stores and approached her.

"I'm going to bring you home where you belong," the victim told police Cruz-Flores said to her.

After Cruz-Flores' statement, he allegedly grabbed the woman around the waist and touched her in her intimate parts, according to the press release.

The woman pulled away and fell to the ground and then Cruz-Flores left the area as well, according to the press release.

Judge William Himelman set bail in the amount of $2,500 and Cruz-Flores was transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.
