Barbara Joan Stewart

Miss Stewart, 83, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Oct. 2, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Dominican Republic, West Indies, she resided there prior to relocating to Lincroft at age 4 with her family, and Springfield, Mo., prior to relocating to New Jersey in 1999. She was employed at National Airlines, Florida, retiring in 1979. She enjoyed the beach and old movies. An avid sailor, she was a member of Monmouth Boat Club, Red Bank. She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Smyth; and a brother, Leslie Stewart Jr. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth S. and Frederick Tanis of Lincroft; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Stewart of Little Silver; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
