EMS volunteers provide lifesaving care
As the medical director for the Alton K. Hovnanian Emergency Care Center at Riverview Medical Center, our hospital team works with first responders each and every day.

Access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and our local first aid squads provide a critical service in the minutes before a patient arrives at our medical center.

Whether it be career or volunteer responders, these individuals generously give of their time and talents to care for fellow members of the community. They engage in thousands of hours of specialized training and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills and provide a vital public service. They respond at all hours of the day and night, on weekends and holidays, in good weather and bad.

New Jersey's EMS system is a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of residents, and it is important to recognize the value and the accomplishments of emergency medical services providers.

"Thank you" to all the EMS team members for your personal commitment and the lifesaving care that you provide to our community.
