'Velveteen Rabbit' with strings attached at library

The Monmouth County Library will present "The Velveteen Rabbit," a puppet show based on Margery Williams' classic tale of how toys become real, at two locations Dec. 15. Christopher Hudert, a former Ringling Bros. circus clown-turned-puppeteer, will perform "The Velveteen Rabbit" using puppets, storytelling and song.

Geared for families with children ages 4 and up, a performance is scheduled from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury.

Admission is by ticket only. Free tickets may be picked up in person beginning Dec. 1 at the library. Details: (732) 431- 7227.
