Better than a lump of coal

Anyone looking for that last-minute gift or stocking stuffer for a friend or loved one who frequents downtown Red Bank should consider a Smart Card from the Red Bank Parking Utility.

Smart Cards, sold in $25 units, help do away with the hassle of keeping spare change on hand to pay the parking meters, and enable those parking to get reimbursed for their unused time and work in any borough meter.

Smart Cards are available at the Parking Utility Office on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 90 Monmouth St. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. They are also available after hours at several downtown retailers including Funk & Standard, Zebu, Hamilton Jewelers, Jonathan Salon and Red Ginger Home.

For more information on the Smart Cards and how they are used, call the Parking Utility at (732) 345-8135. For a list of more downtown retailers that carry the cards, call Red Bank River- Center at (732) 842-4244.
