Dorothy Ashman Wolverton
      Mrs. Wolverton, 93, died Dec. 25, 2007, at home. Born in Newark, she moved to Matawan 71 years ago. She was Matawan's first art teacher and continued to teach there until retiring in 1977. Mrs. Wolverton was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan and recently became a regular visitor of the First Baptist Church of Matawan.
