Anne Eisenberg, a resident at Renaissance Gardens at Seabrook in Tinton Falls, had a very special celebration to mark her 100th birthday on Feb. 28. Mrs. Eisenberg was born in Germany and came to the U.S. when she was 8 years old. She has two sons, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was honored at a surprise 100th birthday party where a large "Happy Birthday" banner was hung in the fourth-floor dining room. Residents and staff joined in the celebration and enjoyed sparkling cider and a delicious cake. An "Evening of Entertainment" hosted by Red Bank Elks Lodge 233 will be held April 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the lodge at 40 W. Front St. The event will feature dinner and entertainment by Chorus of the Atlantic Barbershop Entertainers. Cost is $12 and proceeds benefit the Elks' scholarship, Hoopshoot and other youth programs. For reservations, call (734) 741- 8472.

Helen Peaff, Oceanport, a member and former president of Oceanport Garden Club, received a blue ribbon for her floral design at the New Jersey Garden Club home and garden show in Edison in mid February. Peaff has been involved in several projects such as a local butterfly garden, bird sanctuary and blue star veterans memorial project.

Holmdel First Aid will present Asthma Awareness Night, an asthma symposium offered free of charge to the community April 1 at Holmdel Community/ Senior Center, 4 Crawfords Corner Road. Light dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the lecture at 7 p.m. Dr. Howard Rubinstein of Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, will discuss living with asthma, and how to handle breathing emergencies and other issues. Laura Brynildsen, a Riverview R.N., will also take part. Registration is not required.
