MU sports teams have plenty of weekend success

      It was a very productive week for several of Monmouth University's spring sports teams, as both wins and individual achievements seemed to follow the Hawk squads throughout the week. As the regular seasons approach their conclusion, some of the MU teams are battling for conference supremacy, while also beginning to prepare for the postseason.

RBC relay teams qualify for Penn Relays

      Saturday's Colts Neck Relays were a last chance opportunity for teams to attain qualifyingmarks for the Penn Relays. Red Bank Catholic's boys 4x800 relay team was not one of those teams searching for a qualifying time.

Rutgers Roundup
      The Rutgers football team will close out spring practice with the annual Scarlet- White game on Saturday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Rutgers Stadium. The game will again benefit the pediatric units of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Saint Peter's University Hospital.

      The Clifton T. Barkalow PTO, Freehold Township, will hold a 5K race on Saturday,May 31, starting at 10 a.m. at the township's Turkey Swamp Park. This is the first Blue Jay 5K run/walk and is being managed by the FreeholdArea Running Club (FARC).
