      Voters approve local, regional school budgets
            LITTLE SILVER - Both the lower school and regional high school budgets were approved by voters last week. The $12 million budget for the Little Silver Public School District and the 2008-2009 spending plan of $23.5 million for Red Bank Regional High School (RBR) in Little Silver both passed by healthy margins.

      R.B. BOE budget squeaks by
            RED BANK - The Red Bank Public School District's 2008-2009 spending plan of $15.82 million was approved by a slight margin April 15. A total of 338 votes were cast with the budget passing 171 to 167 votes, according to the Monmouth County 2008 school election unofficial results.

      Voters fail to approve Monmouth Reg'l budget
      Voters pass Tinton Falls, Oceanport, Fair Haven BOE budgets
            Monmouth Regional High School, which educates students from the towns of Tinton Falls, Shrewsbury Township and Eatontown, had its $25.4million spending plan voted down in the April 15 election.Of the 1,954 residentswho came out to vote at the polls, 51.04 percent voted no on the 2008-09 school budget.
