MU's summer theater season begins June 6
      Shadow Lawn Stage at Monmouth University (MU), West Long Branch, will begin its summer season with "Wait Until Dark," June 6-22. "The Way You Look Tonight" by Niall Williams will make its American premiere June 27 at 8 p.m., and run through July 13. "The Odd Couple" will run July 18-Aug. 3. Performances are Fridays- Sundays, and times vary. Tickets range from $15-$25.

Training class for park system volunteers May 17
      The Monmouth County Park System is seeking volunteers for its trail maintenance corps to help preserve the 100- plus miles of trails within the system. A free training session will be held May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, Georgia Tavern Road, Howell.
