Don E. Merce

Mr. Merce, 58, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died May 6, 2008. He was principal at Markham Place School, Little Silver, the past 19 years. Prior to that, he was a teacher and vice principal at Bangs Avenue Middle School, Asbury Park, for 18 years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bobbi; his children, Richard, Christian, Elizabeth andMeredith; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Jeff; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Carrie Warner; and a grandson. A funeral service was held at First United Methodist Church, Oakhurst. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
