YMCA offers swim program for youths

REDBANK- To help ensure the safety of children and provide amuch-needed service to the community, the Community YMCA is offering a series of water-safety lessons June 16-21. Designed as a community outreach program for nonswimmers who aren't members of the Y, the program gives children and youths ages 3-17 the chance to learn basic swimming and water and pool safety.

"Learn to Swim" courses will take place at the Community YMCA Family Health and Fitness Center, 166 Maple Ave. in Red Bank, and are scheduled as follows:

• Parent/Child Classes (3 months-3 years old), Monday-Friday, June 16-20, 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m.

• Preschool Classes (3-5 years old),Monday Friday, June 16-20, 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

•Youth Classes (6-12 years old), Monday Friday, June 16-20, 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

• Teen Classes (13-17 years old), Monday Friday, June 16-20, 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

Fee for all courses is $10 for five 30- minute lessons. Children 3-5 years oldmust be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families are welcome.
