Mentors needed for kids affected by 9/11
      RED BANK - Tuesday's Children, a nonprofit that provides mentors to children who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks, is seeking for volunteers in the Red Bank area. According to the nonprofit, there are currently a few families in the area who want their children to have a mentor to be a positive role model in their children's lives.

Blood drive June 26 at UPS in Tinton Falls
      Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drive: • 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 26 at Teamsters Local UPS, Hope Road, Tinton Falls. The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a miniphysical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening).

'Gimme Shelter' building event slated for June 21
      The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention ofCruelty toAnimals (MCSPCA) will hold its second annual "Gimme Shelter" doghouse building event in memory of Leo at 9 a.m. June 21. The eventwill be at CMX, Manalapan,where volunteerswill build doghouses for animals left outside without adequate shelter.
