      Envisioning a happier Father's Day for all
            When I think about Father's Day, I remember whatmy fathermeant tome when I was growing up. I recall the timeswhen dad,whoworked at Fort Monmouth, took my sister and me on adventures along the hills of the Navesink River.We had the fun of exploringwhatwas, for us, uncharted terrain, which ended with a thrilling slide down a 50-foot dirt hill.

      New Jersey needs to join the 'paperless' majority
            All around us, companies, governments, and other organizations are encouraging people to go paperless. Airlines charge additional $25 or so if one needs a paper ticket. Insurance companies, banks, brokerages and others all encourage their clients to skip paper statements and use Internet for accessing their accounts.

      Centennial exemplifies small-town life
            The Red Bank Centennial weekend was a glorious reminder of how wonderful it is to live in a small town. This celebration reminded me of why I am proud to be a Red Banker. After months of planning and teambuilding, the 100th Anniversary Parade and the Maritime Parade on the Navesink came off beautifully!

      Approval of hunt is new low for Board of Recreation
            The Monmouth County Park System and Board of Recreation Commissioners are once again disregarding public opinion on the deer hunt in our county parks. Most Monmouth County residents oppose allowing hunting in our county parks.
