Entries are being sought for photo contest

Freehold Soil Conservation District is sponsoring a photo contest for those who can capture subjects that promote the beauty and uniqueness of the natural environments found in Middlesex and Monmouth counties. Wildlife, landscapes, natural resources, agriculture, people interacting with the environment, waterscapes, etc., are all suitable subjects. The following prizes will be awarded: $200, first place; $100, second place; $75, third place.

Photo subjects should depict the natural beauty, environment, agriculture, wildlife, landscapes or waterscapes unique to this area. Photos must be taken in Middlesex or Monmouth County. Photo location, landmark, town or address should be included with entry

Two entry submissions per person will be allowed. The contest is open to people age 18 and over. Photos must be color or black and white, 8 by 10 inches or 8 by 12 inches.

Entries must be received by Freehold SCD, 4000 Kozloski Road, Freehold, N.J. 07728, or by e-mail at info@freeholdscd. org, by Sept. 30.

All photos become the property of the contest sponsor.
