DVRT training sessions slated for Oct. 6, 27
      180, Turning Lives Around, Hazlet, will conduct 40-hour training courses for domestic violence response team (DVRT) volunteers in two locations: Oct. 6 at Belmar First Aid building and Oct. 27 at Hazlet Police Headquarters. Volunteer work with police to provide support, information and referrals to victims of domestic violence at police headquarters.

Go Red for Women event nets $472,000 for effort
      The sixth annual Garden State Go Red for Women Luncheon held in early May raised a record $472,000 for the American Heart Association. The event was attended by 430 New Jersey women and men, and proceeds benefited the Go Red for Women movement.

Mended Hearts support group to meet July 24
      Mended Hearts support organization for heart patients, families, health professionals and other interested persons will meet at noon July 24 at Blaisdell auditorium at Riverview Medical Center, 1 Riverview Plaza, Red Bank. Light lunch will be served.
