AAUW is offering scholarships to women
      Applications are being accepted for $2,000 scholarships being offered by the Freehold Area Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). The Freehold Area Branch awards the Lew Williams and the Leila Sulkes Scholarships to women returning to college after an interruption in school attendance of at least one year.

Parent mentor volunteers sought for single mothers
      Volunteers in Public Service, through the Monmouth County Division of Social Services, is seeking parent mentor volunteers to help single mothers meet the demands of parenting. The goal is for volunteers to develop a nurturing and trusting relationship with single mothers, and to help create a safe, nurturing home, reducing the risk of child neglect or abuse.
