RED BANK - The borough received $350,000 in municipal aid from the state, which will lower the projected increase in the tax rate by 2.4 cents. SEA BRIGHT - The borough's request to decrease the speed limit on Ocean Avenue from 40 to 35 mph year-round has been denied by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT). The speed limit on the portion of Ocean Avenue in the borough's North Beach and South Beach sections is 35 mph during the summer season of May 15 to Sept. 15. More...
