Hearts of Remembrance Aug. 9 in Rumson

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Hospice will hold its fourth annual Hearts of Remembrance Children's Day: A Celebration of Life 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 9 at a location in Rumson.

The free grief support camp is open to children age 6-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past year. It includes activities such as crafts, planting, scrapbooking and a visit from pet therapy dogs. Social workers specializing in bereavement counseling and trained volunteers will be available to support and guide children. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay, and supportive counseling and reiki therapy will for parents and guardians.
