            In a recent article in the Hub, Garden Road was described as a safe street in a self-contained neighborhood. Factually, Garden Road and its neighboring street to the east, Beechwood Drive, are the only collector streets connecting Sycamore Avenue and White Street.

      Pay attention to local, not presidential, candidates
            According to Assemblyman Jay Weber, New Jersey residents worked 211 days to pay for our state and local government taxes. Starting on Jan. 1, we worked until July 30 to pay our taxes. The only state residents who worked longer than us are those who live in Connecticut.

      U.S. should treat veterans with respect they deserve
            My nephew, U.S. Army Sgt. Coleman Bean, died earlier this month. He was 25, and he took his own life. I've spent this week in New Jersey, where Coleman lived, helping his parents and brothers get through this terrible time. More than 300 people attended Coleman's memorial service in Milltown. Many of them were young men that Coleman had served with in the military.

      Tips for keeping packs from causing back pain
            It's a common sight in and around schools.
