Center to hold blood drives during October

Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drives:

• 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 3 at Riverview Medical Center, 1 Riverview Plaza, Red Bank. Free T-shirt for each donor

• 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 9 at Buckman Buckman & Reid, 174 Paterson Ave., Shrewsbury

• 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Tower Hill Presbyterian Church, 255 Harding Road, Red Bank

• 5-9 p.m. Oct. 21 at Little Silver Borough Firehouse, Prospect Avenue. Free Tshirt for each donor

• 5-9 p.m. Oct. 21 at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Ave., Rumson.

The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a miniphysical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening). Interested donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds and be in good health. All donors must present signature ID at time of registration.
