Monmouth U. men's soccer clinches NEC tourney spot

      The Monmouth University men's soccer team clinched a berth in the 2008 Northeast Conference Tournament on Friday when they played Quinnipiac to a scoreless draw in Hamden. They then went one step further on Sunday, defeating Central Connecticut State, 2-1 in double overtime, to clinch the regular-season championship and the top seed in the NEC tournament.
