Parents extends thanks to Tour de Shore supporters
On Oct. 12, Timmy's Tour de Shore for pediatric brain tumor research was held at Fort Hancock in Sandy Hook. It was a beautiful, sunny day perfect for a 2-, 8- and 23-mile bike ride. The Tour de Shore attracted more than 450 bike riders. Many families came out to enjoy a day full of fun, food and entertainment. We sincerely thank all our sponsors, friends, volunteers and caring people from our community who supported our event.
Thank you to the New Jersey State Police, the Middletown Police Department, MiddletownVillage School and the Frances Foundation for the support and kindness you continue to show our family. We also want to thank the most amazing group of students from Eagles Helping the Community at Middletown High School South. Thank you for donating your time and working hard. We could not have done it without you.
Timmy's Tour de Shore was a great success this year. We raised an incredible $60,000, which will be awarded to the neuro-oncology research department at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
At some time in all our lives, cancer has touched someone we love. Timmy was so loved by many. It is our hope that one day there will be a world where cancer does not exist. In memory of our precious son Timmy, and in honor of all the children who continue to battle brain tumors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
