'New Beginnings 2008' Happy tales = happy tails
Twelve new happy tales, 12 wonderful adoption stories are featured in the 2008 New Beginnings Calendar from the Monmouth County SPCA.

This year's photos were taken by photographers Joan LaBanca and Scott Longfield and volunteer Val Craig and highlight 12 heartwarming stories of pets (dogs, cats and even a rabbit) adopted from the MCSPCA.

The beautiful calendars are $12 each and 100 percent of proceeds go directly to benefit the homeless pets who live at the shelter.

The calendar is a big 12-by-12-inch size and would make a great gift for family and friends. There are three ways to order:

1. Order over the MCSPCA Web site on a secure server. The address is www.monmouthcountyspca.org. Shipping and handling apply.

2. Mail a check plus your name, address, telephone and the number of calendars you would like to order (at $12 each, plus $3 for shipping and handling), to MCSPCA Calendar, P.O. Box 93, Eatontown, NJ 07724.

3. Call the shelter at (732) 542-2030 Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and order over the phone. This is an economic way to order if you want more than six calendars since shipping costs are higher.

The 2008 New Beginnings calendar is also for sale locally at Dean's Natural Food Markets in Ocean Township at 1119 Route 35, or 490 Broad St. in Shrewsbury in the Annie Sez Plaza.
