Suspect arrested in Catherine St. burglary RED BANK - A 28-year-old male was arrested Dec. 20 and charged with the burglary of a Catherine Street residence. The home was the fifth residence owned by a Hispanic family to be burglarized in the area during the daytime, according to the Red Bank Police Department. Red Bank police arrested Milo Rainey Jr., of Red Bank and Keansburg, and charged him with burglary, theft and criminal mischief in relation to the Dec. 10 incident during which an amount of jewelry was taken from the residence, according to a press release from the department. According to police, "Information received from the public led to the quick identification of Rainey and his subsequent arrest." Rainey's bail was set at $55,000 and he was able to post bond and was released that day, according to police. The Dec. 10 incident was the fifth daytime burglary of a residence occupied by Hispanic families since Sept. 14, according to police. All five of the burglaries involved forced entry and in each case jewelry and cash were taken, according to police.All of the incidents occurred on LeightonAvenue and Catherine Street, between Drs. James Parker Boulevard, Tilton Avenue and Shrewsbury Avenue, according to police. "The investigation into this incident continues as does the investigation of the other daytime burglaries of residences in the LeightonAvenue and Catherine Street area," the police department release states. Police Chief Mark Fitzgerald said on Dec. 28 that whether or not Rainey had any connection with the other incidents is still under investigation.
