Fair Haven Council reorganizes for '08

FAIRHAVEN- The borough held a reorganization meeting Jan 1, at which the Borough Council approved a temporary budget of $1,629,410.82.

The resolution was passed unanimously and serves to provide temporary appropriations for any contract or payments incurred before the final adoption of the borough's 2008 budget.

Council members Jonathan Peters, John Lehnert and James Banahan were sworn in at the meeting. Peters, an incumbent, and newcomer Lehnert were sworn to serve three-year terms and Banahan will complete a one-year unexpired term.

Thomas J. Gilmore, the current council president, was nominated to continue in the role.
