Funding will help keep state's beaches clean The Monmouth County Association of Realtors applauds President Bush and our legislators for recently appropriating New Jersey $176 million for flood prevention and beach replenishment projects. Some of the local projects to be funded include the Highlands beach renourishment, Raritan and Sandy Hook bays in Keyport, Union Beach and Port Monmouth and the Raritan, Shrewsbury and Manasquan rivers. Other beaches in Ocean County will benefit from this appropriation as well. As Realtors we are actively involved in our communities and keep a watchful eye on the quality of life and environment in the shore region. This funding will help to keep our beaches clean, protect this quality of life and help showcase the Jersey shore for residents and vacationers. Ellen W.
