John Thomas Illmensee

Mr. Illmensee, 72, of Red Bank, died Jan. 18, 2008. He was born in Colts Neck. He owned his own real estate business in Colts Neck, retiring two years ago. Mr. Illmensee served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a Red Bank councilman for 13 years, and a member of Red Bank's Liberty Hose Company and the Red Bank Rescue Team. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Marie. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemarie and Anthony Scours of Freehold, and Veronica and Michael Green of Bradenton, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, George V. and Millie Illmensee Jr. of Colts Neck; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ralph Meade of East Brunswick; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church, followed by interment at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
