The dogs were among the 25 pets of different shapes, sizes, breeds and barks that took part in the sixth annual "Strut Your Mutt" event at the Seabrook community in Tinton Falls. The show gave pets and their owners who live and work at Seabrook a unique way to show off their dogs' talents and give them an opportunity to socialize.
The Men's Ministry of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Bank will host the 17th annual Community Men's Breakfast. The breakfast will be held on March 15 beginning at 8 a.m. and will take place at the Red Bank Primary School, located at 222 River St. The Rev. The Vincent S. Mastro Montessori Academy, the oldest Montessori school in Monmouth County, will host an open house for prospective families March 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Faculty and representatives from the parent community will be on hand at the school, located at 36 Birch Ave. in Little Silver, to answer questions and highlight the school's 40 years' experience implementing the educational methods of Italian physician and educator Dr. Maria Montessori. The second annual Cleanup Day at Fair Haven Fields Natural Area will be March 29 with signup at 8:45 a.m. at the Fair Haven Fields parking lot off Ridge Road. St. John Vianney High School PTA, Holmdel, will hold its annual gift auction dinner April 3 at the Grand Marquis, Old Bridge. Deadline for reservations is March 10. Proceeds will benefit the school's educational programs and activities. Included in the auction will be a $2,500 diamond pendant necklace donated by Marlboro Diamond Castle Jewelers. Sea Bright Recreation Committee will sponsor the annual Easter Parade and Egg Hunt March 22 beginning at the municipal parking lot at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for best stroller, best bonnet (girls) and most dapper (boys) in three age groups. The egg hunt on the beach begins at 11:30 a.m., and the Easter Bunny and "Carrot" will make a guest appearance. In case of rain, events will be held in the gym.
