Navy Seaman Apprentice Jennifer L. McLaughlin, Rumson, has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. A 2007 graduate of Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson, she is the daughter of Barbara A. McLaughlin, Rumson.

Army Reserve Sgt. Matthew R. Snow has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from Rowan University, Glassboro, and is a 2004 graduate of Red Bank Regional High School, Little Silver. He is the son of Nancy Snow of Red Bank, and Devin Potts of Paducah, Ky.
